For those of us who remember Robin Ellis as “Poldark,” here’s a real treat.  He loves to cook and after he was diagnosed with Type II diabetes, wrote a cookbook for diabetics geared toward Mediterranean-style food.  The book is available through Amazon.com (US) and Amazon.uk (UK).

Robin’s a hoot in this video because he cooks like US.  There’s nothing very staged here like most “how-to” cooking videos.

There is a link to Robin’s blog (with more recipes) in the comments on the video.

I'm the camera operator and chief taster on this video. It was our first attempt at a cooking video. I don't know how to edit on a Mac–so you notice there are no cuts!

We hadn't planned to do this video–it was completely spur of the moment– which is why none of the ingredients were ready!!

Looking at it a year later, it made me smile. Perhaps we should do a few more–but with a bit more advance preparation!!

I actually loved this video without the cuts! This is how most of us cook and just endeared Robin a lot more to me. God bless him and he STILL looks wonderful.

Oh, and please do more!!! My sister's hubby is diabetic and I know she'd appreciate it. She may also be a source on how to edit on a Mac. She's in UK. Although I have to say, I love the uncut vid.
