Grey Side of Backdrop

Here’s the story in pictures.  The only thing I don’t have pics of is the way it’s laid out and then glued.  This is pretty simple because all you do is lay the slats in one direction, tape them in place, then take the other set of slats (I used a different width to change up the look some) and glue them in the opposite direction (at 90 degree angles to one another).  I bought 4-inch slats, which are really 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 inch slats (effectively 2 1/2 inches wide) for the opposite side.  If you wish to make a perfect square, one end board on each side will have to be the next smaller width down, i.e., for the “4-inch” side, I had to get an additional “3-inch” slat and for the “3-inch” side, I had to get one 2-inch slat.  The slats are called “craft boards” and I got them in my local Lowes.  They come in varying widths but I got 1/4″ and 3/8″ widths.  I bought the 24″ boards, but they are also available in 36″ lengths if you want a bigger backdrop.  Click on link below for step-by-step process and instructions:
