Easy to make, even easier to eat!

Have these bacon ranch mushrooms on your big-game snacking list! Easy to make; even easier to eat!

Here’s a last-minute Super Bowl snack that definitely should be on the card!

Since I tend to overbuy mushrooms because I love them so much, there’s always a package (or two or three LOL) in my crisper.

The mushroom size you use depends on how large you want these. I had small button mushrooms on hand and I was able to wrap 3 of those size mushrooms with a single strip of bacon cut in thirds. If you use larger mushrooms, you may be able to wrap only one or 2 with a single bacon strip.

Easy to make, even easier to eat!

I’d also caution on using the commercially prepared ranch dressing mix. Using it in it’s “pure” state may be too salty for some people. I no longer buy it. A while ago, I found this absolutely GREAT recipe for making your own ranch seasoning mix on Missy’s “Graceful Little Honeybee” blog. I’ve used nothing else since and I also reduce the salt in Missy’s recipe by one half. Once you try this, like me, you’ll never buy it at the store again.

All you do to assemble this is determine the amount of bacon that will completely wrap your mushroom, dip one side in the ranch seasoning mix and roll the mushroom up with the seasoned side of the bacon facing the mushroom and secure it with a toothpick. This can’t be easier!

These are so good, I bet they make it into your regular snack rotation year round. They are perfect for any party in any season. They may also be low carb, but I will leave that determination to anyone on a low-carb diet. At any rate, there can’t be many grams of carbohydrates in them.

Enjoy the big game and may the best team win!
