Dinner tonight–All-American Burger.
Nothing really special about it. Just ground beef (make sure it’s 80% so it’ll be juicy) formed into a patty and grilled.
I served it on Kaiser (Hard) rolls with my “special sauce,” which is nothing more than mayo with a little ketchup mixed in…proportions are probably 1/4 ketchup to 1 part mayo, lettuce, sliced red onion & thinly-sliced cucumber.
The accompaniment is good, old-fashioned macaroni salad. I used chopped celery, minced fresh parsley and chopped red onion. My dressing is mayo, a little bit of dijon mustard added for some zip, salt, pepper, a bit of garlic powder and a pinch of sugar.
