<p>Mom can kick back and relax on Mother&#8217;s Day when you cook her this yummy and unusual pot roast.</p>
<p><span id="more-7436"></span></p>
<p>Instead of going to a restaurant on Mother&#8217;s Day, why not do something Mom will really appreciate&#8211;let her be queen for a day and not lift a finger cleaning or cooking! This pot roast is so simple, you set it, forget it and eat it because your slow cooker does all the work.</p>
<p>Let the day start with making breakfast for Mom. Some simple croissants and coffee would be perfect!</p>
<p>Now while we are talking about coffee, let me tell you of a brand that I recently was introduced to&#8211;<a href="https://po.st/tuUbpy" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer external" data-wpel-link="external">San Francisco Bay</a>. I was looking for a permanent solution to a coffeemaker problem and a friend suggested I go to San Francisco Bay&#8217;s gourmet coffee website. I bought a sample pack and it was the best coffee I&#8217;ve ever tasted and I couldn&#8217;t wait to order more.</p>
<p><a href="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal" target="_self" rel="follow"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7510" src="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o.jpg" alt="An assortment of San Francisco Bay single-serve pods" width="800" height="1200" srcset="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o.jpg 800w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o-200x300.jpg 200w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/sf-bay-coffee-o-683x1024.jpg 683w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Can I tell you I not only love their coffee but I love this company too? Let me tell you why I love them. First, they are a family business and the founders still take an active role in the running of the business along with their kids and their employees&#8211;who may not be related but are treated like family nonetheless. And any day of the week, I much prefer supporting smaller family-run businesses rather than large corporations. The reason for that is the little guy more often than not has a much better product than the big guys and if you have a problem? You know where the buck stops.</p>
<p><center><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/l6WYiWsNy5E" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></center>Another thing I am impressed with about <a href="https://po.st/tuUbpy" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer external" data-wpel-link="external">San Francisco Bay Coffee</a> is they are very concerned about the environment and their single-serve products are 97 per cent recyclable. Even the bags they pack the pods in is compostable. Their coffees are all Fair Trade as well and they are active in their local community out in northern California.</p>
<p>This company not only has great coffees but they are socially responsible as well. What&#8217;s not to love? <span style="line-height: 1.5;">Businesses such as this are ones I am proud to be connected with.</span></p>
<p>But have you ever thought of cooking with coffee? I don&#8217;t mean baking&#8211;where you&#8217;d use strong coffee with chocolate to make mocha&#8211;I mean a main dish. Coffee many times is the magical ingredient that gives a savory dish a great flavor. You never really taste the coffee like you would if you drank a cup. It&#8217;s very subtle and it makes the gravy for this pot roast sing.</p>
<p>This is one of the easiest and tastiest pot roasts I make! This is one that I usually reserve for &#8220;company.&#8221; Mainly because it&#8217;s stupidly easy (trust me, a 10 year-old can make this) and tastes so wonderful. I might splurge and use an eye round roast for this, but any roast that works in any pot roast recipe will work here. I choose eye round for company because there is so little fat to cut off and the meat is 99 per cent fat free so every bite is lean meat.</p>
<p><a href="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal" target="_self" rel="follow"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7550" src="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w.jpg" alt="Yummy pot roast with a surprise ingredient---coffee" width="800" height="1200" srcset="https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w.jpg 800w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w-200x300.jpg 200w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://bakeatmidnite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/coffee-pot-roast-1-w-683x1024.jpg 683w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>So treat Mom to a great restaurant-style meal at home! And make sure to buy her an awesome present with the money you&#8217;ll save over a restaurant!</p>
