I’m widowed and live alone. I’m also busy with my home business, so I really take advantage of products that save me time that I don’t have to prepare them. I often make myself one of the breakfast burritos. I lost count how many times I’m sitting at the computer working, typing with one hand and a Jimmy Dean filled burrito in the other hand!

But here comes the versatility of these Breakfast Bowls–you can create other fun ways to use them to make breakfast or brunch a little more interesting!

If you’re running late, make a grab-and-go breakfast burrito. Just heat a Jimmy Dean Meat Lover’s Breakfast Bowl and roll it up in a flour tortilla!

Now if you want to get a little more fancy, say for a Sunday morning late breakfast or brunch, you can turn this into a tasty breakfast boat. The addition of custard made with some eggs and milk and some green onion added turns what’s already good into something spectacular. There’s a minimum of clean up too since the Jimmy Dean folks have done most of the preparation for you.

Jimmy Dean Meat Lover’s Breakfast Bowl Boats

1 box Jimmy Dean Meat Lover’s Breakfast bowl
1 large egg
1/2 cup evaporated milk
2 tbs water
2 green onions, sliced & divided
2 steak, club or hoagie rolls

Puncture film on Jimmy Dean Meat Lover’s Breakfast Bowl . Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove film.

In a small bowl, beat the egg, evaporated milk and water. Add 1/2 of the green onion and the contents of the Breakfast Bowl. Stir until combined.

Slit the top of each roll leaving about 1/2-inch on each end uncut. Remove inside bread making the roll a shell. Break up the removed bread into small pieces. Add to the Breakfast Bowl mixture.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Divide the Breakfast Bowl mixture between the 2 rolls. Place on a microwave-safe dish and microwave on HIGH for 1-2 minutes or until filling is just set.

Place on a baking sheet and bake 5-10 minutes to crisp the roll. Garnish with remaining green onion.
