Definitely!!! The cooking time would need to be adjusted--maybe by half (although I'm guessing here). If you do it, please let me know how it worked.

Great recipe, Judith. This is a very tasty side dish, especially if one is an onion lover. We like it best when made with deliciously sweet Vidalia onions. The 'authentic' Vidalia onions (from Georgia) are only available in early spring, but you can usually buy Vidalias other times of the year, however, they're grown elsewhere, and won't be quite as sweet. I like to add a little Thyme to my onion pie. It really ramps up the flavor. We enjoy this pie with almost any main, but we really like it with Calve's Liver. Thanks.
