They were Drake’s and I LOVE them!!! Everyone says Entenmann’s is the closest thing, but I find their cake pretty dry where the Drake’s kind isn’t. But this homemade one is so great because it tastes very buttery and the cake is nice and moist.

My mom is wondering if this Coffee Cake has any resemblance in flavor & texture to those little individually packaged Coffee Cakes with a crumb topping, which came in a box years ago. She remembers them from her childhood, but isn’t sure who made them, or if they’re still sold. Nevertheless, I plan to make this Coffee Cake this week. My mouth is watering….
