Lillian <3 <3 I owe my pork chop recipe success to you!!! Is there any other provolone than sharp?? I have seriously tasted some that are more like mozzarella. You know my patience runs thin with recipes I have to babysit, which is why I was so glad to find a crock pot method for doing caramelized onions.

This was a real yummer! I made the caramelized onions on the stove top in 30 minutes and was able to use the same pan to sear the chops. And I even used the same pan to bake it all in the oven. So I was able to make this into a 'one pot' meal. I used sharp provolone. I love the rich flavor of the onion soup. I served it with Italian bread to soak up the delicious soup! It was a big hit...thanks Judith, for another EASY and TASTY meal =D

I love caramelized onions but always hated making them until I found out you can do them in the slow cooker with practically NO work!!! Join the club--I ALWAYS seem to go food shopping before I've eaten and, well, you can guess the result (and the grocery bill LOL)

I really need to stop visiting food sites when I'm hungry. Seeing the word Caramelized onion made me remember I have a full bag of onions at home waiting to be of use.

This recipe looks excellent, I already commented on another recipe of yours today but my family loves pork chops and this WILL be made.

Again, thank you for staying awake baking at midnite so we can see these yummy recipes. :-)
