Get ready for Thanksgiving with these great side dishes for your holiday table.
It’s Never Too Early To Plan For Thanksgiving
Of course you know you’re serving turkey. But what about the side dishes?
I tend to think traditionally when it comes to sides, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to make them a bit fancier!
All of these recipes have been on my Thanksgiving table over the years and they’ve always been a hit.
Save Oven Space
Two ovens certainly come in handy around the holidays, and if you have two, lucky you!
However, most of us just have our single oven either in the stove or in the wall, so lots of times, we lack oven real estate for a lot of dishes.
For instance, I love the traditional green bean casserole and I also love traditional stuffing. Nowadays I generally don’t stuff the bird and make the dressing separately. Well, I’ve combined the green bean casserole with a traditional stuffing and it’s super! And the best part is, the stuffing casserole doesn’t get dry. This one you can also do in the slow cooker, so it’s a real boon.

My family loves beets and this recipe sounds delicious! I am going to make it as one of my sides for T’Giving. Thanks so much for sharing. I am also adding sausage and mushrooms to my old stuffing recipe this year. I generally put oysters in it but my granddaughter doesn’t care for them, so sausage it will be.

Beets are one of my faves too Barbara. But believe it or not, I hadn’t eaten them in ages until I made the ones in the pic. Forgot how good they are!!!

Hi Judith, this would fit perfectly in Food on Friday: November under the American Favorites theme. Hope you bring it on over to share with everybody. Cheers from Carole’s Chatter
